Family Shoot {Kelly Jenne'} | Image Peddler Photography

Any night at the studio is a great night! Thrilled...thrilled...thrilled to have gotten a call from Kelly yesterday to second-shoot a session with her. And what a great family to spend my evening with. The weather was wonderful for an August evening; enough breeze to keep things cool and just late enough that we were able to work with the wonderful setting sun and perfect lighting. This was Kelly's shoot...I was just along for the ride. But I always try to take advantage and walk away with something to give my co-op partners for their clients.

When you're second-shooting...you don't need to worry so much about capturing the perfect smile or that posed shot. Instead...you get to be creative and basically shoot whatever catches your fancy. Tonight it was feet. I love some of my inspiring photogs who post the most adorable feet shots...so tonight I tried to replicate some locations we've used before at the studio. It's definitely a love/hate relationship...but it's my style. Photography to me is capturing a story...and these images tell a story to me (love the pedi!). Hope you enjoy as well.

The NEW Studio | Image Peddler Photography

Well, we've been in and occupied the new STUDIO (and even shot some sessions there) since May 1st. But we've slowly been trying to perfect the space. It's located in the Historic Noterman Building in quaint Downtown Victoria. We JUST LOVE IT!Thanks to Paula's awesome husband, a ton of work was done — from building a wall, to a crap load of painting, to hanging curtains and shelves, to moving things in (and moving somethings out again), and the work has not stopped there (ask Brian).

Paula snapped a few pictures while she was there doing a few sessions. I don't think these do it justice, but here is a glimpse of "Off 5 ~ Photography Studio & Co-op." I can't wait for you to come by, smile for the camera, and look around.

Fun Day at the Studio {Paula, Kelly & Carol} | Image Peddler Photography

It was another fun day at the studio thanks to my "Off-5 Co-Op" members ~ Paula & Kelly. What a way to spend the last of my 4-day weekend...FUN, FUN, FUN! Sometimes it's enlightning to get together and practice new poses, set-ups, etc. Today was one of those days. We met at the studio to take care of some old business...cleaning, organizing, identifying new projects. But we never let a photo opportunity go to waste. Both Kelly and I were in need of some new pics...so Paula was the obvious photog for us. The images of me were obviously not taken by me...that would require the use of a tripod & timer...and there's no way I'm doing that when I have Paula's professional skills at my disposal (they were, however, edited by me). The pictures of Kelly are compliments of yours truly...and I thoroughly enjoyed taking her pics. Anyone that knows Kelly also knows that she has attitude...and I say that with the utmost respect and jealousy. She is feisty, funny, and beautiful...and a joy to work with. My only regret...wish we could have gotten some pictures of Paula to complete the collage.

Image Peddler | Off-5 Studio & Co-Op First Shoot

First Official Image Peddler Photo Shoot at the new Off-5 Studio...

Colleen was an absolute joy to photograph today. By the pictures, one would think she is a model. But...she was having pictures taken in an effort to build her website and promote her talk show (watch for me to include her link once she's up & and running).


My co-op partner, Kelly, allowed me to shadow her today for her shoot...and I can't thank her enough. I LOVE...LOVE...LOVE doing photography and meeting new people. Hopefully each shoot will continue to expand my knowledge and help me to improve. To my co-op partners...we are going to ROCK the South Metro Area! So happy we did this...

Official Studio Grand Opening | Off-5 Photography Studio & Cooperative

The Off-5 Photography Studio & Cooperative is officially OPEN! My Co-Op partner, Paula, has already completed a couple of shoots and her pics were aMazInG!

Here are a couple of samples of the lighting and fLoOrInG you can expect to enjoy at the studio. The walls have all been painted white for optimum lighting and we are slOwLy putting on the finishing touches.

M-F 5:15 PM - 7:00 PM
S-S 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

I thank God every day...for simply being alive and for the ability to take beautiful snapshots of this beautiful life that I call mine.

The Studio Lease Gets Signed

A studio...an actual indoor, organized and equipped space to take pictures...sounds amazing! AND...it became a reality today after months in the making. My sincerest thanks to Paula for making this Studio Coop happen for the seven (7) photographers who will be sharing the space.

Here's the details...the lease will be signed soon and the space will be up and running sometime in April. I will continue to update my blog as the details start to unfold regarding sitting times and availability.

This is an absolute dream come true after many years of strictly doing on-location photography. My sincere thanks to all my customers, friends and family for your support and encouragement over the years. Without you I wouldn't be starting this new chapter in my career. And to my fellow Coop partners...I can't wait to build new friendships, learn new skills, and be a part of a successful new business venture for all. I promise to keep my questions to a minimum!
